We collect personal information when you create an account (student and instructor), edit your account information, upload a course, enroll in a course or sign up as a subscriber to our Website. We also collect some technical information about your use of our Website. This information is used to facilitate your use of the site, to contact you when necessary, and to improve your experience by sending you on-boarding and promotional emails.
Creating a TDA Account
When you create an account on our Website, we collect basic information about you – your name, email address, identifiable information (for instructors in order to facilitate payment). We collect additional personal information if you submit a profile or picture.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We will share your personal information with our agents, representatives, service providers and contractors in order to offer you services in connection with our Website, communicate news and information about TDA, provide customer service, enhance and improve customers’ donor experiences, and complete financial transactions. These third parties are provided with your information only to the extent necessary to serve these purposes, or as otherwise authorised by this policy.
Aside from the purposes described above, we will not disclose your personal information without your consent, unless: (1) we need to respond to a subpoena, court order or legal process; (2) an emergency situation requires disclosure before your permission can be obtained (e.g., situations involving potential threats to personal safety), or; (3) to protect our rights or property, or the rights or property of another person.
We may share aggregated demographic and statistical information with our other partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
Withdrawal of Consent
If you do not want your personal data to be collected, used, and/or disclosed, you may withdraw your consent via e-mail addressed to the Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) at email@example.com. We will endeavour to give effect to your withdrawal request within ten (10) working days from the date we receive the withdrawal notice.
